Vision 1804
In recent times, however, Haiti has faced numerous challenges that have overshadowed this proud legacy. Political instability, economic hardship, social inequality, and external pressures have threatened the nation's progress and the well-being of its people. Vision 1805 was created to address these challenges by reviving the core principles that once guided our nation.
Why we created vision 1804
We Created Vision 1805**
Vision 1805 was created out of a profound respect for Haiti's history and a deep belief in the enduring relevance of its founding principles. The Declaration of Independence and the 1801 and 1805 constitutions were revolutionary documents that championed the ideals of Liberty, Equality, Fraternity and Justice at a time when such concepts were still emerging. These constitutions represent a proud moment in Haiti's past, showcasing the strength, wisdom, and foresight of its leaders.
Today, Haiti faces numerous challenges, and we believe that looking back to the vision of our founding fathers can provide the guidance needed to overcome these obstacles and build a brighter, more prosperous future. By engaging leaders, raising awareness, and fostering a culture of support and action, Vision 1804 or Vision of our forefathers seeks to honor the legacy of Haiti’s founding fathers and ensure that their visionary ideals continue to guide us.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Together, we can make a difference and bring the spirit of 1801 and 1805 into the present, creating a Haiti that honors its past and looks forward to a future filled with hope and promise.

Integrating the 1805 Constitution
Dream of the Slave revolution Heroes
As Haiti embarks on the important journey of constitutional reform, we at Southern Tier Haitian Association believe that looking back to our roots can provide the guidance needed for a prosperous and just future. The 1805 Constitution, a visionary document crafted by our founding fathers, lays down principles that are still relevant today. By using the 1805 Constitution as a base, we can create new laws that reflect these timeless values and ensure they endure for generations to come.
Why Use the 1805 Constitution as a Base:
The 1805 Constitution was a groundbreaking document that abolished slavery, emphasized equality for all citizens, and asserted Haiti's sovereignty. These principles are foundational to a fair and just society. By incorporating the ideals of the 1805 Constitution into the new legal framework, we can:
- Promote Equality: Ensure that all citizens are treated equally under the law, without discrimination.
- Assert Sovereignty: Reinforce Haiti's independence and the importance of national pride and self-determination.
- Abolish Oppression: Continue to uphold the abolition of all forms of slavery and oppression.

Proposed New Laws / Keep Dessalines' Legacy Alive
We propose that the new constitution includes:
- Human Rights Protections: Detailed provisions to protect the rights and freedoms of all citizens.
- Anti-Discrimination Laws: Clear laws to prevent discrimination based on race, gender, religion, and other factors.
- Sovereignty Clauses: Strong clauses that emphasize Haiti's independence and prohibit foreign interference.
- Economic Reforms: Laws that promote economic equality and provide opportunities for all citizens.
Permanent Integration:
To ensure that the values of the 1805 Constitution remain a guiding force, we propose creating a section within the new constitution dedicated to the historical principles of 1805. This section would not only honor our past but also serve as a permanent example and reminder of the ideals upon which Haiti was founded.
By integrating the 1805 Constitution into our new legal framework, we can create a stronger, more just Haiti. Vision 1805 is committed to this cause and we invite all Haitians to join us in this mission. Together, we can build a future that honors our past and looks forward to a brighter tomorrow.
